Partnering with an established publisher for distribution and marketing, rather than attempting to build that capability independently, remains the more capital-efficient path for most new studios, reserving full vertical independence for teams that have already proven commercial traction. Incumbent strategy should center on deepening moats around existing franchises through sustained live-service investment, expanding into adjacent platforms and geographies where existing intellectual property has been underexploited and maintaining disciplined portfolio diversification so that no single title's underperformance threatens overall financial stability.
